I often accessorize with silk scarves. I have a growing collection of Hermes scarves so I like to be creative with how I add them to my look. When I am not wearing a silk scarf it is very likely that I have one in my purse. With the micro climates in California, having a quick layering option is important. At any moment I can be shielding myself from the sun or wind. A silk scarf can also come in handy to help a variety of wardrobe malfunctions.

Do you own or would you strive to own everything on this classics list or do you have your own wardrobe “must have” list?

A scarf manipulated into a belt and worn underneath a cardigan or blazer gives your outfit a certain je ne sais quoi. This extra (work appropriate) kick helps make classic pieces feel modern and youthful.
