Petite vs regular sizing on a 5’1″ woman
OP was my usual Ann Taylor skirt size but as of late it has been a little too form-fitting for my taste in office attire. I have a very real suspicion that someone is sneaking trans fat into my diet. 🙂 So,
rather than exercise, I decided to size up by ordering Ann Taylor skirts in two sizes: “regular 0” and “2P.”

The difference between regular and petite sizing is not major but I think the looks can be very different. I prefer the slightly higher rise at the waist of the 0R but the shorter hem length of the 2P.
Verdict: I will keep both and get the size 0 skirt hemmed. At the current length the zero looks a bit sloppy in a profile view. I may also get the skirt narrowed for more of a pencil cut shape.
The looks below are styled with the 2P skirt:
I love the versatility of a scarf. I especially like that I can easily change up between the looks throughout the day. I have worn this Hermès (Les Dômes Célestes in Purple color way) scarf in the looks here as well as on my head, as a top, and as a cape. Scarves are an easy way to add interest to an outfit. I opt for skinny belts and statement jewelry when my outfits have enough going on that a patterned scarf would make an outfit seem cluttered.
