I was too busy to blog this weekend so I am sharing a review I did a few months ago for friends. I think that hair can be your best accessory–and it is free! Although, splurging on a great cut is smart because you carry it 24/7.
I have naturally wavy/curly hair that I often straighten using a blow dryer and/or a flat iron. While I think both hairstyles are appropriate for a professional context, keeping it straight works better for my time constraints. If I wear my hair natural I spend more time styling it daily.
Although I am actually a fan of natural hair looks, I straighten my hair for interviews to achieve a polished look. If I kept my hair natural more often and got my curl pattern more even I would feel as confident wearing it natural as I do when it is straight.
Do you alter your hair for interviews?
My mom is a hair maven so I have gone through my share of blow dryers and flat irons and I like discovering good ones. Right now I am mainly using a T3 Featherweight or Sedu Revolution Pro 3600i Lightweight Styling Dryer and I am hooked on my GHD, which I bought after learning (the hard way) that the Chi does not have universal voltage.
